Description

This module explores ways for educators to build and strengthen partnerships with the communities in which they work and live. The module includes written information, a three-part video interview with the nominated supervisor at an early childhood service, and self-reflection activities. The module specifically addresses community diversity and cultures, including Indigenous cultures.

The module will provide you with an understanding of:

  • who benefits from partnerships between the early childhood service and the wider community
  • the role of interpersonal relationships in community-service partnerships
  • how to build relationships successfully
  • the importance of being visible in your community.

Once you’ve finished the module, you’ll be able to download and save a certificate of completion.

Suitable for early childhood education and care workers at all stages of their careers. This module will take an estimated one hour to complete.

Completing Partnerships with Communities will contribute 1 hour of NESA registered PD addressing 7.3.2 and 7.4.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW. Courses completed after 17/8/2017 will be validated.
