Biography

Tracey Simpson is an early childhood and community consultant with more than 30 years’ experience. She was the Director, Community Partnerships and Early Years, for the Western NSW Region in the Department of Education and Communities. She was also a Senior Lecturer in Education and Associate Head of the School of Teacher Education at Charles Sturt University. Tracey has also worked as an advocate, teacher, director, child development officer and senior manager in a range of services and locations. She has carried out these roles in early childhood education and care settings, schools, and tertiary education environments in metropolitan and rural NSW and internationally. Tracey is particularly recognised for her commitment to early childhood education and community development in regional and remote Australia.
