National Literacy and Numeracy Week from 4–10 September reminds us of the importance of literacy and numeracy as the foundation of future knowledge. In 2016, it was expanded to include digital literacy. This week, we’re pleased to present a number of resources that support language and digital literacy and numeracy development. We are also excited to announce.
Resources for National Literacy and Numeracy Week, 4–10 September 2017
Module:Walking with children on their journey to literacy—Practitioner perspectives.
This module looks at the key elements of literacy and the practical ways it can be woven into everyday moments, rich environments and fostered with children from the earliest years.
Module: Maths is everywhere.
In this module, we explore how educators can support children’s maths and numeracy learning in day-to-day practice, play and outdoor programs. We look at intentional teaching and child-led learning, and highlight the importance of educators modelling how to think and talk mathematically.
