Dr Erin Howie
Dr Erin Howie is a postdoctoral research fellow at Curtin University with expertise in the effects of physical activity and sedentary behaviours on children including the cognitive and educational effects of exercise.
Prof Leon Straker
Professor Leon Straker is an ergonomist and physiotherapist with 30 years of experience working with children (including two long-term case studies in parenting his own children!).


In this webinar, Professor Leon Straker and Dr Erin Howie (Curtin University) talk about the current understanding of the physical and mental health and development issues associated with screen use by children. The focus will be on the physical implications of television, electronic games, desktop computers, laptop computers, tablet computers and smart phone use. Practical tips on wise ways to use screens are provided.
