Biography
Jo Krabman is an experienced early childhood teacher and director currently working as an early childhood educator and TAFE teacher in Sydney, NSW.
Jo is passionate about art in early childhood. After studying Art History and Curatorship she worked as Gallery Educator (Children and Families) at the National Gallery of Australia for 10 years. She has presented talks and facilitated workshops and professional development including art making and art appreciation to early childhood and primary educators, TAFE and university pre-service teachers, gallery and museum educators and parents. Jo has worked closely with the NGA Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art collection, curators and artists to create curriculum resources and education programs for schools and teachers and public programs for children and families.
Jo Krabman collaborated with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander educators and artists in the creation of the module Understanding and making art: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art in Early Childhood Settings.
